My name is Heidi Deiss and I am currently a student in Ed Leadership 325-003. In today's world, I feel that it is critical for teachers to have a high level of comfortability with technology. Technology is such a great resource for students, as well as for teachers. I was fortunate enough to be introduced to technology at the early elementary level. My fellow peers and I were given the opportunity to take computer courses that developed our familiarity with Microsoft programs as well as our typing skills. Today, I feel very comfortable using different technologies and hope to one day share my knowledge through various technologies with my students. For example, a teacher that is familiar with PowerPoint can do more than just lecture a subject to their students; they can create a slide show to reach the visual learners in their classroom. Technology is not only a great tool to teach to students particular learning styles, but it is also a great resource tool for students.
